Let’s Read Shakespeare! 2/15/2016 Southside branch

  • Santa Fe Public Library Southside 6599 Jaguar Drive Santa Fe, NM, 87507 United States

Do you think Shakespeare is boring or too complicated? Do you love Shakespeare?

Regardless, reading the plays aloud with others and discussing the text as you go along is not only the best introduction to Shakespeare, but also the best way for experienced Shakespeareans to understand the layers of meaning.

Join Robin and Kristin for a brief history of Shakespeare reading groups and then let’s read a scene from The Winter's Tale together! All materials supplied.

Readers of any age and any level of experience with Shakespeare are encouraged, as well as anyone who just wants to listen. No experience of Shakespeare or acting needed!

FREE at our local libraries on February 1, 8, and 15!

So far I read aloud:
But even the very middle of my heart
Is warm’d by the rest, and takes it thankfully.
— Imogen in Cymbeline
