The Book’s the Thing: Shakespeare from Stage to Page

  • New Mexico History Museum 113 Lincoln Avenue Santa Fe, NM, 87501 United States (map)

The artists in the Books Arts Group have been busy creating art books relating to the texts of Shakespeare. The results of this artistic endeavor were curated by Tom Leech, award-winning Director of the Palace Press at the museum, and Robin Williams, award-winning book designer and Shakespearean. These fascinating book art pieces will be on display at the New Mexico History Museum, downtown, for the month of February.

The opening show is Friday evening, February 5, 5:30–7:30 p.m. Come view the extraordinary creativity sparked by the combination of sublime words and thoughts with the imaginative visions of book artists. This opening is the same night as the opening of the First Folio at the New Mexico Museum of Art across the street so you can easily attend both openings!

Free!
