Our community theater in Santa Fe.
The ISC now has our very own theater!
We are so pleased to announce that the ISC now has our very own beautiful theater space, a black box in Santa Fe, NM. We will, however, be sharing the space with other companies in town.
For locals, The Swan is in the space that was previously the Adobe Rose. Maureen and Bruce McKenna originally named the Adobe Rose after the Rose Theatre in London, around the corner from Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. A few blocks away from the Globe in the other direction was the Swan Theatre. Since Ben Jonson dedicated his eulogy to “The memory of my beloved, the AUTHOR,” and called the author “The Sweet Swan of Avon” we are calling our theater The Swan.

Shakespeare Reading Room
And we also have a separate space, around the corner from The Swan, called the Shakespeare Reading Room, 3209 Calle Marie, unit A, Santa Fe. This is, of course, for the reading groups, but it’s also a great space for rehearsals, workshops, classes, lectures, parties, and more.
Shortly we will have a separate web site for The Swan and the Shakespeare Reading Room with photos and calendar listings and more. :-)

This is a different email from the ISC list—this list is ONLY about The Swan theater.
