Open Your Ears!

We live in a world dominated by visual stimulus. The sheer volume of the imagery surrounding us can sometimes silence our own “mind’s eye.” The ISC’s Radio Shakespeare Lab encourages us to listen to the works of Shakespeare, let the words jump off the page and into your ear, allow them to activate your imagination!

On each of the linked play pages below, you will find a full audio recording that incorporates sound effects and original music, voiced by actors from across the country and around the world. Additionally, you will find access to more resources, should you wish to continue your own exploration of the play. Among the additional resources, you will find iReadShakespeare support materials, a link to Dr. Robin Williams’ illuminating ISC Reader’s Editions of the play (available for purchase), and links to the “Tabling” discussions that the cast had in preparation for the recordings! This project is curated and directed by the ISC Artistic Director, Ariana Karp.
