Upstart Crows
Upstart Crows are Santa Fe’s Shakespeare youth ensemble! Upstart Crows of Santa Fe is a Shakespeare troupe that produces workshops and uncut plays with a focus on understanding and collaboration. They also sponsor the Youth Shakespeare Festival.
Santa Fe Summer Shakespeare
The ISC coordinates the Santa Fe Summer Shakespeare festival, featuring a diverse group of local collaborators offering Shakespeare performances and related activities around Santa Fe and online. There were seventeen participating Santa Fe organizations for the 2022 Festival!
Shakespeare Gym
Shakespeare Gym, provides an ongoing community in which to hone your skills in performing Shakespeare at a basic level. No experience necessary; excellent for Readers as well as Actors.
iRead Shakespeare Program
Let’s read Shakespeare – out loud and in community! The iReadShakespeare program is ongoing non-academic and non-performance-based reading and discussion group. All reading groups at the moment are online via Zoom, so you can join us from anywhere in the world! Visit the website to learn more!
Youth Shakespeare Festival
Produced by the Upstart Crows, the Youth Shakespeare Festival gives students in Northern New Mexico the opportunity to feel ownership over Shakespeare’s complex text. Students produce short scenes in a festival performance, and in the process will develop skills in critical thinking, close reading, literary analysis, public speaking, dance, voice, stage combat, and Shakespearean staging.
